And in the name is the ingredients’ mnemonic reminder. Sounds French.
I was about to make a delish quiche when I realized I was out of eggs. Like a rebellious hen. So I decided to make something else and based on what I could find in the pantry/fridge, which was gnocchi and some other stuff – this simple and delicious meal became.
Here is the grocery list:
- A package of gnocchi
- little bit of bacon
- fresh onion
- fresh basil
- cooking cream
- blue cheese
- salt and pepper
- a bit of parmesan or cheddar (or any hard yellow cheese) to drizzle
Sauté a little bacon.
Add chopped onion, basil and garlic. Stir together for about 30 seconds, for the flavors to be released.
Add blue cheese.
Add cream. About 50 grams, as per photo.
Mix together until nicely incorporated. It takes maybe a minute, maybe a bit less for the cream to thicken. Then the sauce is done.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Combine with the gnocchis and enjoy!
Bon appetit, space peeps!
